About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Department Coordinator to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandise Execution: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Inventory Management: Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, and ensure merchandise is processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor, and work as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Monitor productivity of team and coach as necessary, and ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan.
  • Store Operations: Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, and ensure all organizational, cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area are met.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, and promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills, capable of multi-tasking, and able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
