At DMC Harper University/Hutzel Women's Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiography Team Lead to join our team.

Job Summary

The Lead Radiographer will be responsible for coordinating the flow of work, delegating tasks, and guiding staff in carrying out their duties. This role requires strong leadership skills, analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.

  • Coordinate the workflow and ensure that departmental standards are met.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members, resolving routine and complex problems as needed.
  • Monitor the quality and quantity of work, ensuring that diagnostic procedures are performed according to departmental standards.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including performance appraisals, hiring decisions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist with performance improvement plans and ensure that departmental policies and procedures are followed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the Lead Radiographer must have:

  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (RT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) or Cardiovascular-Interventional (CV).
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) within 6 months of hire for employees working in adult settings or Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (PALS) within 1 year of hire for employees working in cardiology settings.
  • Two or more years of progressively more responsible Interventional Radiology work experience.

Skills Required

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong analytical and clinical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Technical knowledge of imaging equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of American College of Radiology requirements for accreditation.

Physical Demands

The Lead Radiographer must be able to:

  • Stand, bend, push, pull, reach, and lift to provide patient care.
  • Operate and utilize imaging equipment and supplies.

Work Environment

The Lead Radiographer will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a variety of hospital personnel and patients. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a culturally diverse atmosphere and provide excellent patient care.
