NEUCO is seeking a Construction Equipment Specialist to join our workforce. Construction Equipment Specialists are responsible for operating machinery to safely transport earth, tools, and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate heavy machinery such as skid steers, backhoes, trenchers, pavers, dozers, milling saws, road graders, hydro-excavators, track hoes, and more.
  • Load and unload machinery and materials as required.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on assigned machinery and vehicles.
  • Maintain all necessary Operator Qualifications as mandated by industry standards.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License.
  • A minimum of one year of experience safely operating equipment in close proximity to workers and underground utilities.

Work Environment

  • Work sites are primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions.
  • All safety instructions at the worksite are provided in English; fluency in English is required.
  • Job duties may involve prolonged and repeated activities such as lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and crawling.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and the ability to stay late when necessary with little or no notice.
  • Work is conducted within the operational zones of heavy machinery.
  • Maintaining safety requires quick and accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to remain alert and operate safely.

Legal Considerations

  • Successful completion of pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screenings.
  • Submission of valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify.
  • Satisfactory results from pre-employment background checks.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Completion of a pre-employment medical fit-for-duty assessment; must hold or obtain a DOT medical card.
