Job Summary:

As a Federal Work Study student in the Housing & Residence Life department, you will play a vital role in supporting the needs of residents and guests while developing essential skills in customer service and administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to a diverse range of stakeholders, including prospective students, current residents, and campus partners.
  • Manage high volumes of incoming calls on a multi-line phone system and assist walk-in visitors.
  • Provide administrative support to Housing staff, including processing and organizing documentation.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Utilize various software applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, StarRez) to maintain housing records and documents.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of recruitment events on campus.
  • Conduct outreach to current and prospective residents through phone communications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Housing leadership.
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be an enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University, taking a minimum of 6 credit hours.
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience living in campus residence halls.
  • Prior customer service experience is advantageous.
  • Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor.
