Leasing Representative

The Macon Housing Authority is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our team. As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for attracting and retaining qualified residents to maximize physical occupancy at our assigned community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact with potential and existing residential tenants to provide exceptional customer service and showcase the advantages of our community.
• Provide general clerical assistance to the community office, including greeting potential renters, showing vacant apartments, and processing rental applications.
• Complete lease agreements, collect rental deposits, and secure lease renewals in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare promotional materials, such as flyers and ads, to effectively market our community.
• Respond to resident inquiries and maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1-2 years' experience in leasing, marketing, or general office administration
• Warm, engaging, and inviting personality
• Strong customer service, sales, and personal interaction skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; Yardi experience preferred
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and reliable attendance
• Professional image and valid Georgia driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Keen attention to detail and ability to work effectively with special needs populations and individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) and HOME programming experience
• Yardi experience and professional communication with vendors, residents, and coworkers
• Flexible to change and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
