Role Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients to discuss their financial circumstances, personal objectives, and lending requirements to facilitate their home ownership aspirations.
- Gather and evaluate comprehensive information regarding clients' financial situations, including income, assets, debts, and credit history.
- Conduct initial assessments to determine client eligibility for various lending solutions.
- Provide tailored recommendations on lending options that align with clients' financial and personal goals.
- Educate clients on the implications, risks, and advantages of different lending alternatives.
- Promote the Citigroup brand and its financial offerings to real estate professionals, builders, and potential clients.
- Conduct client meetings outside of traditional office settings, adapting to client needs and market conditions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance customer support and growth.
- Refer clients seeking services beyond lending to appropriate Citigroup professionals.
- Partner with Operations teams to ensure a smooth transition of loan applications and necessary documentation.
- Work closely with Processors and clients to ensure timely loan closings.
- Develop relationships with key referral sources to drive mortgage business.
- Stay informed about market trends and regulatory changes to better serve clients.
- Exercise sound judgment in business decisions, prioritizing compliance with laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage sales.
- Proven track record in residential mortgage sales.
- Established network of clients and referral sources.
- Experience with FHA/VA and conventional loans is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to explain financial documents and requirements.
- Knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated customer service and relationship management skills.
- Expertise in general lending products and the mortgage industry.
- Must register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
