Executive Assistant to Dean of Humanities

We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the Dean of Humanities at Arizona State University. The successful candidate will coordinate and manage administrative functions, manage the dean's calendar, coordinate travel, and serve as a liaison to various administrative offices.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the dean's calendar and coordinate travel arrangements
- Compile and prepare background material for meetings, events, and travel
- Coordinate and track follow-up activities
- Serve as a liaison to various administrative offices
- Provide guidance to unit staff on college policies and procedures
- Coordinate special events and arrange equipment and catering
- Compose correspondence on behalf of the dean
- Process financial business forms on behalf of the dean
- Coordinate special assignments and projects as requested by the dean
Bachelor's degree in business, education, or a related field and five years of related work experience. Equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in supporting a high-level administrator in higher education
- Effective communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to anticipate problems and resolve them
- Experience in managing multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of academic policies and procedures
- Computer software experience, including Microsoft Office applications
The successful candidate will work in an environmentally controlled office setting, subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse. Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds may be required.
