Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation of slot machines and manage the performance of slot floor staff during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Organize daily operations, including employee assignments and break schedules, to maintain optimal staffing levels.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction by supervising the assigned area in accordance with policies and gaming regulations.
  • Provide coaching and performance evaluations for staff, fostering a fair and equitable work environment.
  • Respond to guest service requests and ensure timely assistance from slot floor staff.
  • Verify slot payouts and maintain machine functionality to meet revenue goals, coordinating with maintenance for repairs as needed.
  • Act as an ambassador for the property, promoting positive guest experiences and collaborating with other departments to address inquiries.
  • Encourage positive employee relations and maintain open communication with the Slot Shift Manager regarding operational updates and staff concerns.
  • Monitor gaming activities to ensure compliance and safeguard against theft, maintaining the integrity of casino property.
  • Promote departmental and property-wide initiatives and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with other shifts and departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least six months of supervisory or dual-rate experience in slot operations is essential.
  • A combination of relevant slot experience and supervisory background may also be considered.
  • Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of various slot machines, video poker, and keno is required.
  • Proficiency in PC-based software and a strong sense of business ethics are essential.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and hours is necessary.

Work Environment:

  • Responsibilities are primarily performed on the casino floor, which is a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise and the general public.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands are required, along with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception.

Native American Preference Policy:

Preference in hiring is given to members of the Seminole Tribe and other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet job qualifications.

Employment Process:

Candidates must successfully complete a background check to obtain gaming licensure prior to employment. This may include credit checks, criminal background checks, and drug screenings.
