Job Summary:

The Instrument Technician is responsible for repairing, testing, adjusting, or installing electronic equipment, such as industrial controls, transmitters, and antennas. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic equipment and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to detect and prevent equipment problems.
  • Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and identify root causes.
  • Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure proper function.
  • Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use and analyze malfunctions.
  • Repair and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components, replacing worn parts as needed.
  • Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
Requirements:
  • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Team player and detail-oriented.
  • Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware.
  • Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Education/Experience:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience/training required.
  • 2-4 years experience required.
Compensation:

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
