AdaptHealth LLC is a leading provider of home healthcare and medical equipment solutions. We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a Ventilation Specialist.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Respiratory Therapist with experience in ventilator care to provide high-quality patient services to patients in their homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting clinical assessments, setting up and managing ventilators, and educating patients and caregivers on proper use and maintenance of the equipment.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments of patients to determine their respiratory care needs
  • Set up and manage ventilators to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and caregivers on proper use and maintenance of ventilators
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide ongoing support and education to patients and caregivers throughout the duration of care

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program or equivalent
  • Valid and unrestricted RT clinical license in all states serviced by the branch
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Health Care RT, HME RT, or clinical nursing with Vent experience
  • CPR certification
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand, bend, stoop, and be able to sit at a computer for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to perform one-man CPR
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities' motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers due to extensive computer use
  • May be exposed to unsanitary conditions in some home settings
  • Work environment may be stressful at times, as overall office activities and work levels fluctuate
