We are a small biotech company located in the greater Boston area, seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and auditing.
- Oversee general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level accounting or financial management role.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience in the scientific industry is strongly preferred.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop staff.
