Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at AdventHealth Carrollwood. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics, in accordance with accepted protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and pediatric echocardiograms.
  • Maintains supply inventory and restocks to maintain proper operating levels.
  • Sets up and adjusts imaging equipment, while manually maneuvering transducers to perform exams.
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures.
  • Performs routine and complex studies, in addition to assisting with a variety of imaging procedures.
  • Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
Requirements
  • Technical/Vocational School degree.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Diagnostic Sonographer Credentialing accepted from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS).
