About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography examinations and ensuring quality performance of echocardiography examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiography examinations by departmental policy in accordance with the standards outlined by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) and the American Society of Echocardiography.
  • Ensure quality performance of echocardiography examinations adhering to the quality assurance/improvement program by departmental policy in accordance with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) standards.
  • Perform a variety of cardiovascular ultrasound procedures on neonatal through gerontologic patients.
  • Assist physicians and select practical applications and technical factors.
  • Be knowledgeable in and carry out all applicable processes of the department.
  • Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures.
  • Teach and direct the work of other staff and students as required.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalency.
  • Graduate Cardiovascular ultrasound program.
  • Registered in appropriate cardiac ultrasound modality.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
