About the Position

The George Mason University College of Science is seeking a Term Professor of Microbiology to join our faculty. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position that will teach undergraduate level courses and laboratories, as well as provide some undergraduate academic advising.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate level courses and laboratories in microbiology and related fields.
  • Provide academic advising to undergraduate students.
Qualifications
  • Terminal degree in a related field.
  • PhD in microbiology or a related field, with evidence of teaching excellence and a commitment to education of a diverse student body.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in microbial physiology and/or microbial genetics.
