The George Mason University College of Science is seeking a Term Professor of Microbiology to join our faculty. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position that will involve teaching undergraduate level courses and laboratories, as well as some undergraduate academic advising.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate level courses and laboratories in microbiology, including introductory and advanced courses.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of a diverse student body.
- Provide academic advising to undergraduate students, including guidance on course selection and career goals.
- Terminal degree in a related field, such as microbiology or a related field.
- PhD in microbiology or a related field, with evidence of teaching excellence and a commitment to education of a diverse student body.
- Expertise in microbial physiology and/or microbial genetics.
