About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at the University of Minnesota. This tenure-track position will focus on strengthening our missions in audiology and hearing science.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a sustainable research program in audiology or a related field.
  • Teach courses in the AuD curriculum and pursue external funding.
  • Advise students in Au.D. and Ph.D. programs.
  • Contribute service to the department and the profession of audiology.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences and Disorders, Psychology, Neuroscience, Education, or a related discipline.
  • History of scholarship within the field of audiology or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability and eagerness to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in hearing disorders, rehabilitative audiology, hearing aids, or a combination of these areas.
  • History of competitiveness for seeking and obtaining research funding.
  • Advanced degree in audiology.
  • Familiarity and direct experience with the goals of clinical audiology.
