Position Summary

In this role, reporting directly to the Regional Vice President of Government Relations, you will engage extensively with state regulatory authorities to ensure the prompt approval and execution of ISO filings and related matters. You will keep a close watch on all property and casualty insurance legislation and regulations that affect ISO products and operations. Your responsibilities will also include staying informed about local and regional developments while fostering relationships with industry trade associations and other pertinent stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the timely approval and execution of ISO's regulatory filings concerning insurance program coverage forms, manuals, pricing, and associated products.
  • Act as ISO's primary contact for all regulatory matters within designated states.
  • Collaborate with other field offices and ISO divisions to create coordinated responses to regional and local challenges impacting ISO products and services, working closely with the Midwest Regional Vice President and the broader Government Relations team.
  • Represent ISO's interests at industry events as necessary.
  • Contribute to the formulation of ISO's stance on specific property and casualty insurance sector topics at both regional and local levels.
  • Provide technical assistance to local industry trade associations and other interested parties.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and legislative requirements related to insurance products.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Over 6 years of experience in the property and casualty industry, with a preference for expertise in product development, pricing, or state filings and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication, and negotiation skills, along with a proven track record in project management.
  • Experience collaborating with insurance departments on regulatory and legislative matters, demonstrating the ability to cultivate relationships with regulators, industry organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the capability to act tactically to promote ISO's and Verisk's interests, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the current property and casualty marketplace.
  • Familiarity with ISO products is advantageous.
  • Preferred industry designations include CPCU and others.
