Job Title: Bilingual Copy Editor

Job Summary:

ACT1 Federal is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Copy Editor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for editing and proofreading articles, reports, and other written content in both English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Editing and proofreading written content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
  • Collaborating with authors to ensure that content meets the required standards
  • Reviewing and revising content to ensure that it is free from errors and meets the company's style guide
  • Working with the editorial team to develop and implement editorial policies and procedures
  • Providing translation and interpretation services as required
Requirements:
  • Professional level written and verbal skills in English and Spanish
  • 4+ years of copy-editing experience
  • Mastery of spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors
  • Proficiency with applying the principles of style guides, such as the Chicago Manual of Style
  • Strong computer processing skills, especially Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge of legal issues involved in publishing, such as plagiarism and copyrighting
