POSITION SUMMARY

Rummel Construction, Inc. is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. We operate one of the largest fleets of heavy machinery in the state, ensuring that our team remains engaged and productive.

If you are passionate about maintaining and repairing scrapers, dozers, motor graders, and excavators, this role is tailored for you.


REQUIRED SKILLS (SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION)
  • Ability to lift, load, unload, and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to walk, sit, squat, enter and exit equipment safely, stand, and bend for extended periods.
  • Proficient in the safe operation of hand tools, power tools, drill presses, grinding machines, welding equipment, and hoists for handling large components.
  • Conduct Pre and Post-Trip Inspections, maintain electronic driver logs, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in the repair of heavy equipment from manufacturers such as CAT, John Deere, or similar.
  • Possession of personal tools.
  • An acceptable driving record and the ability to obtain a DOT Medical card.
