Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring that all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, using technical knowledge and experience to identify and resolve problems.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision, to complete tasks and projects.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
  • Document all work performed, including maintenance and repairs, using computerized maintenance management software.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in the construction equipment industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment systems, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, to complete tasks and projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex equipment issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with other technicians and support staff.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy equipment and tools, up to 50 pounds.
