Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Motor Controls Engineer to join our team at Tesla. As a key member of our Motor Controls team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing advanced motor control systems for our electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Motor Control System Design: Develop and implement motor control algorithms that enhance the performance of our electric vehicles.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate motor control systems with other vehicle systems.
  • Testing and Validation: Design and execute tests to validate the performance of motor control systems.
  • Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in motor control technology and apply this knowledge to improve our systems.
Requirements
  • Strong Fundamentals: Possess a solid understanding of AC electric motors and drive systems analysis, modeling, and control.
  • Programming Skills: Have basic proficiency with embedded firmware development in C/C++ and experience with Matlab/Simulink.
  • Communication Skills: Be able to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Education: Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
