Job Summary

The University of New England is seeking a highly skilled and organized Patient Service Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcomes patients and responds to their inquiries in a polite and consistent manner.
  • Serves patients by scheduling appointments, taking insurance information, and maintaining records and accounts.
  • Monitors phones and responds to voicemail messages as needed.
  • Prepares and updates daily schedules for providers and staff.
  • Notifies providers of patient arrivals and reminds them of service delays.
  • Comforts patients by anticipating their questions and concerns.
  • Places reminder phone calls to patients and follows up on no-shows.
  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining and updating personal and financial information.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Two to three years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  • Professional manner and demeanor.
