Position Responsibilities

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in electronic billing within a corporate legal department or law firm.

• Familiarity with BillBlast and/or Aderant is advantageous.

• Understanding of legal billing and Middleware systems is a plus (e.g., Legal Exchange, TyMetrix 360, Legal-X, Serengeti/Legal Tracker).

• Knowledge of various Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard (LEDES) billing formats is beneficial.

• Proficient in Windows-based applications and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Strong analytical, reading comprehension, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to exercise sound judgment and produce detailed, accurate work.

• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment to meet deadlines.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with attorneys, staff, vendors, and clients.

• Commitment to providing excellent client service to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Proactive in identifying issues and implementing resourceful solutions.

• Eagerness to learn and develop new competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the electronic submission of client invoices through various e-billing middleware systems.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that may arise during the invoice submission process.

• Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and administrative personnel to address and maintain client e-billing requirements.

• Clearly communicate escalated issues to supervisors and management as necessary.

• Professionally engage with team members, attorneys, and upper management.

• Monitor the status of submitted invoices to ensure timely payment from clients.

• Maintain an internal database of e-billed clients and their compliance requirements.

• Document and update reference materials related to the e-billing process as needed.

• Assist with inquiries from partners and clients promptly.

• Provide updates and financial analyses to attorneys, clients, and administrative staff as requested.

• Participate in firm-wide and departmental projects and initiatives.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.
