Job Summary

The Senior Billing Specialist will ensure timely and accurate production and distribution of customer invoices in accordance with NYPA contracts, policies, and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing of customers and vendors.
  • Prepare and process invoices for payment to customers and vendors.
  • Review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Complete analysis of data received and processed and billed for assigned customers.
  • Digitally archive invoices and necessary backup information for audits and inquiries.
  • Generate reports to review billing and payables to ensure accurate recording in SAP or SAP BI.
  • Provide support for error resolution of incorrect data.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in payables, billing, accounting, or related finance field.
  • Experience working in a computerized environment and with ERP systems is preferred.

Working Conditions:

The Senior Billing Specialist will work in a modern and dynamic office environment with a team of professionals. The position requires limited travel (about 10%) to NYPA's generating facilities.

The New York Power Authority offers a competitive salary range of $46,720.00 - $64,240.00, based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
