Job Summary

The Patient Accounts Billing Representative is a key member of our team at Medasource, responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing and claim resolution. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills to effectively manage accounts and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process unbilled claims and bills to expedite payment
  • Complete editing of claims in the HIS system and process claims electronically or on paper
  • Follow up on aged accounts and review trial balance reports
  • Understand and adhere to federal and state billing regulations, including HIPAA and Medicaid/Medicare guidelines
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate and timely billing and claim resolution
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • HBI (Healthcare Business Insights) certification
  • Clerical experience and strong analytical skills
  • Preferred: coding background, experience with Epic Systems, and knowledge of medical terminology
