About the Role:

Our early-stage team is in search of a Backend Architect to spearhead the design and development of our online collaborative platform's backend framework. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in crafting and executing scalable, high-performance backend systems that facilitate real-time interaction and collaboration. This position entails a blend of strategic foresight, technology selection, and hands-on development, ensuring our platform can effortlessly accommodate dynamic user interactions during collaborative sessions.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop a scalable, secure, and efficient backend framework for real-time online collaboration, with an emphasis on optimizing performance and user experience.
  • Establish and implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms to safeguard user data and uphold privacy.
  • Supervise the deployment of database solutions and data management strategies that guarantee swift, reliable access to information across distributed environments.
  • Devise and implement real-time communication protocols and services, enabling seamless user collaboration and interaction.
  • Collaborate with web front-end and client developers to ensure effective and reliable integration between client-side applications and server-side services.
  • Remain informed about emerging technologies and architectural patterns that could enhance platform performance, scalability, and functionality.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and data protection regulations.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Your Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of comprehensive backend development experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience as a Backend Architect or in a comparable role, with a strong portfolio of scalable, high-performance backend systems.
  • Proficiency in server-side programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, PHP) and frameworks pertinent to real-time communication and web services development.
  • Experience in database design and management, encompassing both SQL and NoSQL technologies.
  • Familiarity with the storage of three-dimensional data in backend systems.
  • Knowledge of authentication, security protocols, and data encryption methodologies.
  • Acquainted with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and their application to scalable backend architectures.
  • Strong distributed debugging capabilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a creative and analytical approach to architecture design and development.
  • Strong leadership attributes and experience in managing or guiding development teams.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills for clear documentation and technical explanations.
  • Willingness to travel, as necessary, up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with debugging C++ for low-latency operations.
  • Applied Linear Algebra for 3D applications, with familiarity in 3D concepts.
