Your Role
As a Senior/Staff Backend Engineer at CSS, you will play a pivotal role in our data-driven development team, actively participating in the advancement of innovative internal tools. Your responsibilities will include:

- Strategic Planning: Collaborate on the planning and execution of various internal tools.

The Orders team is committed to delivering reliable, transparent, and scalable restaurant order orchestration. We provide restaurants with accurate metrics of their performance and the necessary tools for enhancement.
To achieve this, our team develops frameworks and integrations to assimilate order data from global online food ordering platforms into the CSS ecosystem, managing the financial data pipeline for all orders.
This team operates some of the highest-traffic services within the organization, processing millions of customer orders daily across numerous integrations. We also implement mechanisms to ensure data quality within our ecosystem, as the accuracy and reliability of our revenue data are paramount. Our success is intrinsically linked to the success of the restaurants we serve.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Individual Impact: Proven track record of significant contributions in previous positions.
- Architectural Design: Strong capability to design and develop sustainable architecture from the ground up and evolve existing systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a knack for collaborating with non-engineering stakeholders.
- Distributed Systems: Experience in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and efficient distributed systems.
- High-Traffic Applications: Familiarity with maintaining and extending large-scale applications with high traffic.
