We are in search of Machine Learning engineers who possess the expertise and enthusiasm to tackle the challenges of autonomous vehicle operation through advanced ML techniques. Our team has achieved remarkable progress in applying cutting-edge methodologies to the driving challenge in recent years. We are now poised to elevate the application of ML to new heights. We seek specialists in scaling ML model deployment, with proficiency in LLMs, Vision LMs, NLP, parameter-efficient fine-tuning, and performance optimization, particularly in collaboration with TPUs on Alphabet's ML infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement next-generation generative models to enhance autonomous driving capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of and contribute to advancements in generative modeling and autonomous vehicle research.
  • Innovate methods to analyze, comprehend, filter, enhance, and synthesize data.
  • Work alongside a team of researchers and engineers to integrate advanced generative models into production simulators or onboard applications.
Your Qualifications:
  • PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience in deep learning.
  • Proven experience with Deep Learning and Generative Models.
  • Proficient in programming, particularly in Python/C++.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 3 years of deep learning experience.
  • 5 or more publications in prestigious conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, IROS, CoRL, ACL, EMNLP, etc.
  • Experience with generative models in areas such as images, videos, 3D, human animation, traffic, and simulation, utilizing techniques like diffusion or autoregressive models.


Waymo offers a competitive salary range for this full-time position, with actual compensation determined by job-related factors including location, experience, relevant training, and skill level.
