Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant I

Texas Colon & Rectal Specialists is seeking a skilled Clinical Support Assistant to join their team in supporting the medical office. This position falls into one of three levels based on candidate experience.

  • Assist physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment
  • Promote efficient patient flow and care
  • Perform medical office support tasks including clerical duties and maintaining schedules

Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms
  • Record patient data before physician visits
  • Prepare exam/treatment rooms and assist physicians with procedures
  • Answer patient calls and perform administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Level 1: High school graduate, medical assistant certificate preferred
  • Level 2: Minimum three years of experience as a medical assistant, Certified Medical Assistant preferred
  • Level Sr: Minimum five years of experience in a medical office setting, CPR certification required

Physical Demands:

  • Full range of body motion required
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 40 lbs
  • Corrected vision and hearing necessary

Work Environment:

Exposure to various conditions common in a medical office environment may occur.
