Medical Assistant III

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant III to join our team. As a Medical Assistant III, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Interact with Patients and Families: Provide exceptional customer service and interact with patients, families, and other healthcare team members in a courteous and professional manner.
- Obtain and Record Vital Signs: Obtain, identify, and record vital signs, prevention data, medications, chief complaints, and other pertinent information.
- Assist with Patient Procedures: Anticipate providers' needs during patient procedures, adjust to changes in procedures, assignments, or workload as directed by providers.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Ensure equipment is available and in clean, safe, and operable condition, follow established procedures for reporting malfunctions, repairs, or replacements, and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Coordinate Scheduling and Referrals: Assist with daily and procedure/operating room schedules, prepare and administer monthly calendars and practitioners' schedules, and process referrals as directed.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Review, compile, document, and prepare paper or online clinical records for clinical encounters, retrieve other clinical documentation and records as requested, and ensure accurate and complete information is relayed to staff members.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Participate in projects as requested, adhere to organizational, departmental, and clinic-specific standards, policies, procedures, processes, protocols, or guidelines, and demonstrate knowledge, skills, and competency in required clinical skills and use of clinical equipment.
- Education: Graduate of post-high school medical assisting program with 200 hours clinical externship, military medical specialist training, or completion of two (2) year on-the-job training in medical assisting.
- License, Certification, Registration: Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
