KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Drive the company culture through values and customer service standards.

Deliver exceptional service to all customers, both internal and external.

Build and maintain effective relationships through timely and effective communication.


Proactively address and resolve customer service issues in a timely manner.


STAFF MANAGEMENT:


Oversee Patient Care Technicians in delivering safe and effective chronic hemodialysis therapy, adhering to facility policies and regulations.


Delegate tasks to direct patient care staff, including LVNs/LPNs and Dialysis Assistants.

Assess daily patient care needs and develop appropriate assignments.

Monitor patient care staff for compliance with techniques and facility policies.

Participate in training and orientation for new staff as assigned.

PATIENT EDUCATION:

Ensure that patients and their families receive education regarding End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).

Provide ongoing education about renal disease, vascular access, dialysis therapy, and related health conditions.

Discuss dietary, fluid, and medication compliance with patients.


Educate patients on laboratory values and their relationship to dialysis therapy.



HEMODIALYSIS TREATMENT:

Deliver safe and effective care to patients with ESRD.


Implement treatment prescriptions accurately, ensuring stable therapy as indicated.


Assess patient responses to treatment and make necessary adjustments as directed by the prescribing physician.



LABORATORY MANAGEMENT:

Accurately enter physician lab orders into the Medical Information System.

Ensure proper preparation of lab requisitions and adherence to lab procedures.


Monitor and follow up on missed labs and ensure compliance with company policies.



GENERAL DUTIES:

Enforce company policies and regulations set by state and federal agencies.

Maintain a safe and efficient operation during shifts.

Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.

Ensure timely transcription and entry of physician orders into the Medical Information System.

Maintain documentation of patient information accurately.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This role requires direct patient care, which may involve heavy lifting and moving patients. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

The work environment is typical of a healthcare facility, with controlled air temperature and moderate noise levels. Exposure to infectious materials may occur.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Current state licensure is required.

Minimum of one year of medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred.

Hemodialysis and ICU experience are advantageous.

Completion of CPR Certification is necessary.
