Job Title: HR Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our team at DFW Security Protective Force. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of human resources activities, from recruiting and onboarding new employees to retaining existing ones.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen, recruit, and interview potential employees to ensure the best fit for our organization.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure new employees have a smooth transition into the company.
  • Implement and maintain company culture, values, and policies to promote a positive and productive work environment.
  • Provide management with accurate and timely reports and documents to support business decisions.
  • Coordinate employee recognition events and activities to boost morale and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and records.
  • Administer compensation and benefit plans to ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes to identify and attract top talent.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and training initiatives to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics, such as leaves and compensation, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies to support business objectives.
  • Undertake tasks around performance management to ensure employees are meeting performance expectations.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in HR metrics, such as time to hire and employee turnover rates.
  • Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews to ensure employees are meeting performance expectations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits, and organizing team-building activities.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations to avoid any potential risks or liabilities.
  • Collect and verify timesheets to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Enter employee information and payroll data into the system to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Answer employees' questions and concerns regarding payroll to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, taxes, and deductions to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Process new employees, promotions, and terminations to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Issue statements detailing earnings and deductions to employees.
  • Issue and deliver paychecks to employees in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies to ensure accuracy and fairness.
  • Maintain and update payroll records to ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
  • Prepare periodic payroll reports to support business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in Human Resources, recruiting, payroll, or other related fields.
  • Knowledge of labor and employment laws to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to build rapport with all employees to promote a positive and productive work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with employees and management.
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist to demonstrate expertise in HR functions.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws to ensure compliance.
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and HRIS systems to support HR functions.
  • Excellent communication and people skills to effectively interact with employees and management.
  • Aptitude in problem-solving to resolve HR-related issues.
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach to support business objectives.
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field to demonstrate expertise in business principles.
  • Additional HR training will be a plus to demonstrate commitment to professional development.
  • Degree in Accounting or related field preferred to demonstrate expertise in financial management.
  • Previous experience in a payroll department to demonstrate expertise in payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of payroll software (ADP) is beneficial to support payroll functions.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Good math and communication skills to effectively manage payroll processing.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • SHRM Certification to demonstrate expertise in HR functions.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collective Bargaining Agreements to ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • Team player to support business objectives and promote a positive work environment.
