Job Title: Clinical Education Manager

Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive clinical informatics education program, ensuring that clinical and non-clinical staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilize the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates agency-wide orientation training for all clinical and office staff, ensuring a smooth transition to the EMR system.
  • Develops and manages a master education calendar, presenting proposed education and summary of previous events at appropriate committee meetings.
  • Collaborates with managers and staff to ensure the most efficient documentation system within the EMR, providing problem-solving and troubleshooting support as needed.
  • Participates in organizational meetings and training venues, serving on agency committees and acting as a resource for clinical staff.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of educational sessions, reporting results and using data to make changes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required, Master's degree in Specialty area preferred.
  • Five (5) years' experience in a hospice/home care environment required, with a minimum of three (3) years in home care preferred.
  • Prior experience in clinical and computer teaching roles preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in State of Rhode Island required, with a valid driver's license and current automobile liability insurance.
  • BLS/CPR certification required, with Oasis Certification and CHPN preferred.
