Clinical Nurse Educator Wound Ostomy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator Wound Ostomy to join our team at Rhode Island Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff, as well as providing expert consultation on clinical issues.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in identifying department and service learning/clinical needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs.
- Plan and coordinate care for a select group of complex patients, and provide expert consultation for clinical issues.
- Make recommendations for programs and presentations for patient/family education, using evidence-based resources.
- Serve as a role model for promoting excellence, safety, and lifelong learning, and evaluate clinical competency.
- Develop, review, and validate standards, policies, and procedures.
- Support the integration of evidence into practice, and conduct and/or contribute to evidence-based projects.
- Maintain flexibility when managing multiple roles and responsibilities.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island, or licensure in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement.
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, and certification in Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing (CWOCN).
- A minimum of five years of relevant clinical experience, and demonstrated ability to effectively use a personal computer and Microsoft Office applications.
The successful candidate will work in a general hospital environment, with occasional stressful conditions associated with patient care. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
