Position Overview:

The Consumer Loan Servicing Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service delivery to our members. This position involves managing incoming inquiries and addressing a diverse range of member concerns to facilitate efficient communication with loan officers and other departments. The ideal candidate will uphold the highest standards of customer service while handling post-closing services for both mortgage and consumer loans.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Consumer Loan Servicing Associate, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing documentation related to loan funding, file maintenance, and preparation of loan packets.
  • Managing repossession fees, processing MBP/GAP refunds, and generating month-end reports.
  • Handling incoming calls and resolving various loan service inquiries from members.
  • Identifying and addressing member issues, leveraging each interaction to inform members about additional services or programs that may be beneficial.
  • Calculating tax disbursements, making rate adjustments, and conducting escrow analyses as required.
  • Assisting with CPI reports and overseeing the ordering of supplies for the Loan Department.
  • Monitoring daily loan reports and monthly summaries, processing collateral releases for loans that have been paid off.
  • Overseeing consumer loan servicing, including daily loan reports, payment processing, and the management of online payment details.
  • Ensuring compliance with all organizational policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of two to five years of experience in financial operations, with at least two years specifically in consumer loan servicing.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly credit union systems (such as Insight), Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience that meets the requirements.

Interpersonal Skills:

The role demands a high level of courtesy, tact, and diplomacy, as it involves regular interaction with individuals both within and outside the organization. Effective communication skills are essential for addressing routine matters and providing information or guidance.
