Position Overview:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls and providing exceptional support to our members regarding various loan-related inquiries. Your primary goal will be to ensure a seamless experience for our members while delivering top-notch customer service. This role involves servicing loans after closing for both mortgage and consumer loans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage documentation for loan processing, including member funding, file maintenance, and loan packet preparation.
  • Process fees related to repossessions, refunds for MBP/GAP, and generate month-end reports.
  • Handle incoming calls and assist members with diverse loan servicing concerns.
  • Diagnose and resolve member inquiries effectively, utilizing each interaction as an opportunity to inform members about additional services that may be beneficial.
  • Calculate tax disbursements, perform rate adjustments, and conduct escrow analyses as required.
  • Assist with CPI report preparation and order supplies for the Loan Department.
  • Oversee daily loan reports and monthly summaries, processing collateral releases for loans that have been paid off.
  • Take charge of consumer loan servicing tasks, including monitoring daily loan reports, managing loan payments, and supporting the implementation of loan document storage and online payment administration.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Qualifications:

Experience:
Two to five years of experience in financial operations, with a minimum of two years in consumer loan servicing.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in computer applications, with knowledge of credit union systems (such as Insight), Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Education:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, or a combination of education and experience that meets the job requirements.

Interpersonal Skills:
Demonstrated courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential for this role, as it involves regular personal contact with individuals both inside and outside the organization, primarily for the purpose of exchanging information and providing guidance.
