Job Summary

Project HOPE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Health Program Development Specialist to join our team in Africa. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and implementation of our global health programs, working closely with our regional and technical experts to identify and pursue funding opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain proposal development calendars to ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals
  • Conduct research on the competitive environment, potential local and international partners, and other topics as needed
  • Lead or contribute to the writing and editing of proposals, working closely with technical and country staff
  • Support the development of budget estimates, government certifications, assurances, and representations
  • Maintain an accurate and detailed database of business development pipeline and activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred
  • At least five years of professional experience in development/emergency programming, NGOs, and/or grant/proposal writing
  • Experience in proposal writing, editing, and formatting, as well as technical and grant writing
  • Ability to interact with staff members of diverse cultures, backgrounds, and departments
  • Ability to understand and meet funder requirements and organizational policies
