Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care to patients
- Operate fire suppression equipment and apparatus
- Conduct searches of fire building interiors for rescue of trapped persons
- Evacuate people from hazardous areas
- Perform basic and advanced emergency medical care
- Record personal and medical information of patients
- Develop and operate within emergency medical pilot programs
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid New Hampshire Driver's License
- New Hampshire EMS Providers License- Paramedic (within 120 days of appointment)
- New Hampshire Firefighter II (within 120 days of appointment)
- Hazardous Materials - Operations
- Nationally Registered Paramedic (within 120 days of appointment)
- Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) in accordance with NH Bureau of EMS Prerequisite Protocols
While performing essential functions of this job, employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions, work in high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, flames, blood, airborne pathogens, and hostile or offensive patients.
Incumbent's working conditions are typically quiet, but may become very loud responding to emergency calls and at the scene of a fire or other emergency.
