Licensed Speech Language Pathologist

Essential Qualifications
The candidate must possess:
- A valid, unrestricted license in the relevant therapy discipline.
- Fulfillment of educational criteria as mandated by licensure.
- A valid driver's license in the state of employment.
- Familiarity with regulations, procedures, and guidelines related to skilled nursing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and overseeing the provision of speech-language pathology and audiology services in compliance with current state and federal regulations. Specific duties include:
- Coordinating the delivery of speech-language pathology services as per physician directives and established guidelines.
- Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators related to speech-language pathology.
- Implementing processes for timely screening, evaluation, treatment, and documentation for residents.
- Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident progress and discharge planning.
- Maintaining effective communication with residents, families, and staff to foster positive relationships.
Additional Responsibilities
In addition to the primary duties, the position requires adherence to safety and hygiene protocols, maintaining confidentiality of resident information, and participating in emergency preparedness drills. The Speech Language Pathologist will also engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices and regulatory changes.
