Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Strategy Development
    • Formulate and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
    • Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Supplier Management
    • Source and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships to ensure quality, price, and delivery terms meet company standards
    • Manage supplier performance through regular assessments and audits to maintain service levels and mitigate risks
  • Contract Negotiation
    • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements
    • Review and finalize contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Procurement Operations
    • Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely fulfillment of orders while adhering to budgetary constraints
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and provide strategic guidance on procurement decisions
  • Cost Management
    • Monitor and control procurement costs through cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements across the supply chain
  • Risk Management
    • Assess and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and compliance violations
    • Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to minimize potential disruptions
  • Compliance and Ethics
    • Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including ethical sourcing practices and sustainability initiatives
    • Implement and enforce procurement policies and procedures to maintain transparency, fairness, and integrity in all dealings
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Experience
    • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role
  • Skills
    • Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship management skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
    • Proficiency in procurement software and systems, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and e-procurement platforms
    • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards, such as ISO certifications and industry-specific requirements
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels
