Job Details:

As a Permanent Grower Accountant, you will play a crucial role in farming industry. Your role will be multi-faceted, involving a range of responsibilities from handling grower accounts to managing financial transactions. You will be the point of contact for our growers, providing support and supervision. The role also involves reporting to various regulatory bodies and working closely with other departments for reconciliation and review of sales and inventory information. This exciting opportunity requires a candidate with a strong background in grower accounting and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage grower packouts and provide field reporting.
2. Oversee harvesting charges and provide grower support.
3. Supervise grower packouts and manage grower advances.
4. Handle production reporting and monthly assessment reporting to Citrus Research Board, California Citrus Mutual, and CDFA.
5. Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable department and inventory specialist for review of sales to each pool and review of inventory sizer information to each pool.
6. Reconcile sales, inventory, charges, and sizer information for the pool.
7. Manage pool close and grower payments.
8. Handle customs paperwork and send grower arrival QC reports.
9. Pay freight and customs invoices.
10. Handle grower settlements and payouts.
11. Manage weekly billing of services.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree preferred, however, not required in lieu of experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in grower accounting or similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
3. Experience with Grower Packouts, Field reporting, Harvesting charges, and Grower support.
4. Proficiency in grower packout supervision, grower advances, and production reporting.
5. Experience in monthly assessment reporting to Citrus Research Board, California Citrus Mutual, and CDFA.
6. Strong understanding of reconciliation of sales, inventory, charges, and sizer information for the pool.
7. Proficiency in handling customs paperwork and sending grower arrival QC reports.
8. Ability to manage freight and customs invoices.
9. Experience in handling grower settlements and payouts.
10. Proficiency in weekly billing of services.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
14. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
