Position Overview:
Under supervision, the role involves executing various responsibilities within community recreation initiatives, assisting in the planning and execution of projects, programs, or activities as directed.

Position Highlights:
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about serving senior citizens and enhancing their community experience.

The incumbent will primarily engage in tasks including, but not limited to:
- Developing, planning, and implementing innovative meal menus.
- Preparing, cooking, and serving full-course meals on a daily basis.
- Training staff on all aspects of nutrition program assignments.
- Assigning staff to designated workstations and responsibilities.
- Conducting thorough cleaning assignments on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Planning and overseeing special events in the dining area.
- Managing lunch ticket creation and daily meal tracking.

Typical Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7:30 am and 2:00 pm.

Essential Functions:
The employee must possess the ability to:
- Assist in supervising and organizing recreational activities.
- Monitor program compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations.
- Provide clerical support for program activities.
- Distribute, monitor, and maintain equipment, inventory, and supplies.
- Assist in planning teams and coordinating logistics, staff, and volunteer needs for events/programs.
- Recommend and/or assist in implementing goals and objectives; enforce policies and procedures.
- Assist with facility rentals, contracts, and maintenance needs.
- Support research efforts, solicit donations/prizes, and monitor budget.
- Prepare reports and distribute program marketing materials.
- Operate a computer and related software.
- Provide information to the public, vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain records and operate a computer and related software.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Perform any other tasks or functions deemed necessary for the daily operations of the employer.

Working Conditions:
This position requires prolonged standing, sitting, walking on various surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, grasping, and making repetitive hand movements during daily duties. Incumbents may be required to lift, carry, and/or push objects weighing 25 pounds or more. This role necessitates near and far vision for reading documents and observing participants during activities. Acute hearing is also essential for providing customer service to the public and assisting in various settings.

Experience and Training Guidelines:
Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in recreation, sports, teaching, the arts, or community services program areas is required. All positions necessitate excellent customer service skills, the ability to work with the public, and experience leading staff across all age groups.

Education:
College coursework or an AA degree in a related field is highly preferred. Additional specialized clerical training is desirable.
This position is part-time and at-will, without benefits unless mandated by law.
