Key Responsibilities:

As a Home Care Aide/Senior Companion, you will be responsible for providing essential personal care services to clients, which may include:

  • Assisting with personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Supporting mobility and transfers.
  • Helping with dressing and grooming tasks.
  • Preparing nutritious meals and snacks as per client preferences.
  • Accompanying clients on errands or to medical appointments.
  • Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean environment.

Additionally, you will carry out specific tasks as directed by a Right at Home nurse, including:

  • Providing supportive care for hospice patients.
  • Offering medication reminders.
  • Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises.
  • Monitoring blood glucose levels.
  • Caring for clients who are bed-bound.
  • Providing incontinence care.
  • Utilizing lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Hoyer lifts.
  • Background in personal care services.
  • Knowledge of range of motion exercises.
  • Foley care experience.
  • Ability to provide companionship.
  • Skills in light cleaning tasks.
