Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in areas such as highway design, project management, pavement design and maintenance, infrastructure assessment and roadway forensic analysis, construction management, highway and infrastructure safety, structural engineering and preservation, intelligent transportation systems, economic, financial, and policy dimensions of transportation, traffic operations, and environmental analysis.
  • Develop and implement research projects, including designing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and interpreting results.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify research opportunities and develop project proposals.
  • Present research findings to internal and external stakeholders, including academic and industry partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in transportation research and apply this knowledge to inform research projects.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as transportation engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong research skills, including the ability to design and conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and interpret results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
