Job Summary:

As a Network Engineer at Digital Prospectors, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure, robust, and fault-tolerant network infrastructure. This includes monitoring and updating configurations to maintain compliance, performing code, software, and firmware updates, and researching and developing automation to support network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement network systems, including LAN and WAN configurations

Monitor and update configurations to maintain compliance with security protocols and standards

Perform code, software, and firmware updates to ensure network infrastructure is up-to-date with current versions

Research and develop automation to support network infrastructure and enhance capabilities

Develop and execute a plan to integrate classified cloud services with existing on-premises networks

Provide project support to internal teams where expertise in classified networks is required

Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and tasking to members of the Network team

Provide Tier I support resolving service desk tickets

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical experience and certifications

Experience with Juniper network hardware, Palo Alto firewalls, and General Dynamics type 1 encryptors and GEMOne management software

Experience with network automation (preferably with Ansible) and cloud network integration (preferably classified cloud)

Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and BGP protocols

Strong understanding of DoD networks and STIG security controls

Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly

Ability to work independently toward delivery of goals as well as collaborate in team efforts

Strong foundational skills in organizing and managing technical projects

Excellent customer service skills both verbally and written

Experience with the Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) process and maintaining an inspection-ready environment is preferred

Possess a Security+ certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

Clearance Requirements:

An active Secret clearance is required, however an active Top-Secret clearance is highly preferred.
