Job Overview:

As an Orthopedic Clinical Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering both technical and clinical expertise to enhance the training programs tailored for healthcare professionals, business partners, and client personnel. Your responsibilities will include organizing and facilitating hands-on training sessions and skill labs, ensuring that all participants are well-equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Acquire and maintain an in-depth understanding of orthopedic principles, the product portfolio, and the clinical practices associated with the offerings; effectively communicate and demonstrate these concepts to various stakeholders.
  2. Design and produce online educational resources for healthcare professionals and students, as well as training materials for client representatives, utilizing presentation software and basic video editing tools.
  3. Engage in educational initiatives for business partner representatives, contributing to their medical training programs.
  4. Implement training objectives for client representatives, ensuring comprehensive product and procedural knowledge.
  5. Provide insights for the development of medical education courses and training agendas for healthcare professionals.
  6. Instruct on the proper and effective use of products and specific surgical techniques, utilizing client instruments.
  7. Deliver educational content on orthopedic conditions, including foundational concepts of anatomy, biomechanics, and pathology relevant to the products and procedures.
  8. Assist in creating digital learning materials aimed at enhancing the educational experience for client representatives.
  9. Participate in training programs for healthcare professionals, ensuring alignment with established training objectives.
  10. Collaborate with business partners to facilitate local medical education and surgical skills training initiatives.
  11. Support the organization and execution of advanced surgical skills workshops.
  12. Represent the organization at medical society events and product exhibitions, fulfilling educational roles as needed.
  13. Review and provide feedback on educational materials developed by other departments to ensure clinical accuracy.
  14. Contribute to research and development efforts for new products and procedures.
  15. Provide clinical and technical guidance during the product development process, collaborating with various departments.
  16. Work closely with product management and engineering teams to offer insights on the design and functionality of surgical instruments.
  17. Support customer service efforts by providing clinical and technical assistance to address customer inquiries.
  18. May oversee the work of other team members.
  19. Must be comfortable working with cadaver specimens.
  20. Willingness to travel as required, including potential international assignments.
  21. This position is based in an office environment.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in biomedical sciences or a related field is required, or certification as a Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or a medical degree.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in orthopedic surgery, musculoskeletal medicine, or the orthopedic industry is essential, or completion of post-graduate medical education.
  • Experience as a Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Medical Doctor, or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in orthopedic surgery is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in developing and delivering training materials is essential.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with PCs and proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with any necessary communication tools.
