Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Physician (Otolaryngology) to join our team at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System's Surgical Care Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients, with a focus on surgical care, including microvascular reconstruction of head and neck cancer patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a full range of medical, procedural, and surgical care in general Otolaryngology to adult patients.
  • Perform advanced endoscopic sinus surgery, as well as other procedures and surgeries as indicated.
  • Participate in resident and medical student conferences and educational activities.
  • Assure physician-to-physician communication to ensure smooth receipt or transfer of patients.
  • Support education, research activities, and emergency preparedness goals of the Medical Center.
Requirements
  • United States citizenship.
  • Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Completion of residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board eligibility or certification in Otolaryngology.
  • Fellowship training in head and neck surgical oncology.
  • Experience with advanced endoscopic sinus surgery and in-office balloon dilation.
Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor, and the incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs.
