Job Summary

As an EVS Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate tasks with Assistant Directors and Operations Managers, as well as serve as a liaison between administration and hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze departmental financial data and statistics to ensure budget compliance.
  • Develop and recommend department operating budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Coordinate housekeeping activities with other departments to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Actively communicate with administration and other hospital departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Plan, prioritize, direct, coordinate, and supervise functions and activities of the department.
  • Establish work standards and workflow to optimize productivity.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for departmental operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Proactively achieve facility goals and objectives, demonstrating quality leadership in meeting performance plans.
  • Read, develop, and coordinate Total Quality Management processes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions for department staff, promoting education and professional growth.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Four-year college degree and equivalent related experience required.
  • Three years of housekeeping management experience at a healthcare account required.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data.
  • General intuition for business, with excellent social skills and customer service demeanor.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with tight deadlines, and apply a participative approach to leading staff.
  • Excellent stress leadership skills, administrative, and interpersonal skills, with follow-through (with associates and clients) skills required.
  • Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
