Position Summary and Qualifications
The Patient Care Supervisor is responsible for overseeing clinical management within the hospital by organizing, coordinating, and monitoring patient care while representing Administration during off hours, weekends, and holidays. This role involves performing delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and adhering to the overall care delivery philosophy.
Qualifications Required:
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse or current active multistate nursing licensure.
- Current BCLS and ACLS certifications through AHA or ARC.
- Current PALS certification is required.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical RN experience is required, with ED and/or ICU experience preferred.
- Three years of progressive supervisory or management experience is preferred.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and practice, with the ability to plan and deliver nursing services effectively.
- Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of individuals and maintain constructive relationships.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Participates in the counseling and guidance of personnel, demonstrating leadership within the healthcare team.
Located in Aurora, Colorado, The Medical Center of Aurora features over 346 beds and five medical campuses, including specialized facilities. The Main Campus is a Level II Trauma Center with Primary Stroke Certification and Chest Pain Center accreditation, serving the eastern metro area.
