We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Bryan Health's Holmes Lake Family Medicine clinic. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will assist physicians with examinations and procedures, coordinating the flow of patients, phone calls, lab work, and nurse visits to facilitate quality patient care and customer service goals. You will provide professional nursing care as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act, any applicable licensure/certification requirement, and organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Commit to the mission, vision, beliefs, and consistently demonstrate our core values.
  2. Maintain the flow of patients in accordance with the time of appointment to avoid delays for the provider and undue waiting for patients.
  3. Keep exam rooms clean, disinfected, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  4. Obtain vital signs, reason for visit, allergies, and list of medications from the patient and prepare the patient for the visit.
  5. Assist medical providers with all examinations and procedures.
  6. Schedule outpatient follow-up procedures/appointments and specialty appointments.
  7. Collect subjective and objective data and contribute to the assessment of the patient; document appropriately in the patient chart.
  8. Make accurate and timely observations and document changes in the patient's condition in the patient chart.
  9. Retrieve messages and respond to calls from patients, pharmacies, hospitals, nursing homes, and other medical offices by using the telephone and computer in a timely manner as delegated by licensed healthcare providers (MD, RN, PA, NP).
  10. Explain tests and preparation as needed for adequate patient education.
  11. Monitor inventory of supplies and communicate information to the Office Manager.
  12. Administer injections, vital signs, vision, and auditory testing as delegated.
  13. Perform other related projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Maintains clinical competency as required for Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
  2. Knowledge of nursing and clinical systems.
  3. Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to nursing practice, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements.
  4. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions.
  5. Knowledge of quality metrics.
  6. Skill in organizing work to achieve clinic goals and meet patient/medical provider needs.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  8. Ability to work as a team member.
  9. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  10. Ability to integrate new work processes and adapt to change.
  11. Ability to exercise courtesy, tact, and professionalism.
  12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment relevant to changing patient needs.
  13. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
